Learn lighting in London with Aputure

Posted on Jun 17, 2025 by Adam Duckworth

Aputure hosts an introduction to lighting colour science seminar by Tim Kang

Lighting brand Aputure is inviting image makers to the Why Eyes Lie Tour, an introduction to lighting colour science by Tim Kang in London on 30 June and 1 July.

This seminar calls for the end of colour control confusion – at least, from a lighting perspective! The proliferation of colour-changing LED lighting has brought unintended consequences: forced colour choices, loss of direct colour control, unforeseen technical barriers and, simply, frustration.

Master the foundations of colour science to make confident, precise lighting decisions on set, ensuring that every scene reflects your creative vision with scientific accuracy.

Aputure’s innovative Blair colour engine builds on advanced colour science principles to deliver exceptional colour rendition, consistent spectral output and fine-tuned control – empowering lighting setups that stay true to natural colours.

Tim Kang, principal engineer for Imaging Applications at Aputure,  serves as the chair for the Lighting Committee, ASC Motion Imaging Technology Council and is also an associate member of the American Society of Cinematographers.
