New tricks for Aputure Storm 1200x

The Storm 1200x just got a whole lot more colourful thanks to Aputure’s firmware update

Aputure has released firmware update V1.5 for its flagship Storm 1200x LED fixture, introducing long-requested HSIC+ control and enhanced DMX functionality. The update brings the 1200x in line with its Stormseries siblings – the 400x and XT52 – by unlocking advanced colour management features powered by the BLAIR light engine.

The update a Limited HSIC+ control mode, now accessible via the fixture’s menu, Sidus Link app and DMX. It also introduces 20 new DMX profiles for greater flexibility and precision when working with colour.

What’s new in V1.5

  • Limited HSIC+ control now available via on-fixture menu, Sidus Link and DMX
  • 20 new DMX profiles for full-colour management using the BLAIR engine, including:
  • CCT & RGB
  • Limited HSIC+
  • RGB and RGBA
  • CCT and x,y coordinate profiles
  • All new profiles support control options for strobe, control channel, and fan modes
