DJI’s Mini 5 Pro packs a one-inch sensor, 4K/120p video and LiDAR-assisted safety into a sub-250g drone
The DJI Mini 5 Pro is the first mini drone to feature a one-inch sensor for boosted image quality. Weighing under 250g, it can be flown in most countries without any certification. It houses a 50-megapixel sensor capable of capturing 4K/60p HDR with up to 14 stops of dynamic range, as well as slow motion at 4K/120p.
The Mini 5 Pro records 10-bit video in H.265 with expanded ISO options, supports DJI’s D-Log M and HLG modes and introduces a new 48mm Med-Tele mode. It offers vertical shooting, 225° roll rotation for dynamic gimbal moves, plus Quick Shots, Master Shots and Timelapse modes.
DJI’s upgraded Active Track 360° provides safer, customisable tracking for sports and fast-paced action. Safety has been improved with LiDAR-based nightscape omnidirectional obstacle sensing and multiple vision sensors that allow navigation of low-light cityscapes and return-to-home, even without GPS. Flight time is up to 36 minutes with the Intelligent Battery or 52 minutes with Battery Plus. Prices start at £689; it’s not available in the US.
