Datacolor redefines calibration with SpyderPro upgrade

Posted on Nov 6, 2025 by Adam Duckworth

The latest SpyderPro software takes Datacolor’s legacy of colour accuracy into the future with ultra-fast calibration with advanced creative tools

Datacolor is revolutionising the world of colour management with the launch of SpyderPro, its most advanced calibration software yet. Far more than a monitor tuner, SpyderPro combines ultra-fast calibration with a suite of creative workflow tools designed for modern imaging professionals.

Capable of calibrating even the brightest screens, SpyderPro now supports ultra-bright displays up to 12,000 nits – including OLED, QD-OLED, mini-LED and Apple’s Liquid Retina XDR panels. Calibration takes under 90 seconds, delivering flawless colour accuracy for photography, video and design workflows.

For filmmakers and colourists, SpyderPro introduces 3D LUT (.cube) export, providing precise calibration for compatible monitors – a feature once reserved for high-end cinema tools. The new Device Preview Plus feature allows side-by-side simulation across multiple displays, with pixel sampling, batch conversion and advanced export options, ensuring consistent colour no matter the platform or print medium.

SpyderPro also integrates with Datacolor’s LightColor Meter, automatically adjusting calibration based on ambient lighting for unparalleled consistency. And in a nod to today’s AI-driven creative world, it now supports Content Credentials (C2PA), embedding authorship, edit history and provenance directly into files – protecting authenticity and creative trust.

“SpyderPro is more than a calibration tool – it’s a workflow revolution,” says Heath Barber, Director of Product Management at Datacolor.

The upgrade is free for current SpyderPro users, while owners of Spyder, SpyderX or Spyder X2 can upgrade at a discounted price. SpyderPro is available now for £249 from datacolor.com.
