Clever lighting would mean little without impressive image quality and the amaran Cam has the credentials to match. Its large 1/1.3in sensor captures 4K video up to 60fps. A bright f/1.68 aperture helps to maintain image quality while also providing natural background separation. Clearly, amaran has paid attention to colour reproduction, delivering natural-looking skin tones across a diverse range of complexions.

Although the amaran Cam is compact enough for a desktop, its ambitions extend well beyond webcam duties. The Multi-Cam feature supports up to four amaran Cams, allowing podcasters to combine presenter close-ups, guest angles, wider studio views and overhead demonstrations.
The camera can also be rotated to switch between horizontal and vertical recording without cropping away image quality, ideal for podcasts and social media.
