Amaran Ray-ses its game

Posted on Nov 24, 2025 by Adam Duckworth

Content creator lighting brand Amaran ups its LED game with a brand new range of fixtures branded Ray

Amaran’s new Ray series is a next-generation family of full-colour COB lights designed to give more power, better colour and smarter workflows in dramatically smaller packages. The four-model lineup – the Ray 60c, 120c, 360c and 660c – ranges from ultra-portable 60W units to 660W studio workhorses, all built around Amaran’s brand-new OmniColor light engine.

OmniColor expands red and blue output and introduces an indigo emitter, producing a fuller, more accurate spectrum. That translates into cleaner whites, truer skin tones and colour reproduction that remains consistent.

All Ray fixtures are IP54-rated, ideal for outdoor use. A new NFC pairing system lets users add lights to the Amaran app instantly, and the FlowTurn knob allows both precision adjustments and rapid changes.

The 60c and 120c deliver huge upgrades for run-and-gun creators with slimmer, lighter bodies, Bowens mounts, USB-C PD power and optional cable-free operation with the new Peak battery system. The 360c and 660c bring serious power with all-in-one monolight designs and optional DMX control. Prices start at £189/ $189 for the 60c and reach £699/ $699 for the 660c.
