Big fixes and bright ideas are in store as Aputure rolls out firmware updates for its lighting gear
The Sidus Four transmitter, Storm 80c, Storm 1000c, Storm 1200x and the MC Pro mini light are getting a digital tune-up. With new functions and bug fixes, these five products are set to run more smoothly and work smarter on set.
The Sidus Four update adds new functions like WiFi channel selection. The addition of 2.4 GHz blocking for CRMX will also help operators in crowded wireless environments.
For Storm 1200x users, the ability to power limit the light on low amperage circuits will help them dial output between 700W and 1450W.
A revamp is in store for the firmware of the Storm 1000c, Storm 80c and MC Pro, as all three benefit from bug fixes. With this update, the Storm 1000c has also undergone profile fixes, which ensure smoother integration with control systems.
The Storm and Sidus Four firmware updates are available for download now on the individual product pages at aputure.com. MC Pro updates can be installed through the Sidus Link app.
This update closely follows the exciting news of release of the Storm XT52 by Aputure.
