DJI Launches Lightweight Commercial Video Transmission with Advanced SDR Technology
The DJI SDR Transmission system is designed for small- and medium-sized film crews, offering enhanced stability, interference resistance, and strong penetration capabilities
The system delivers stable 1080p/60fps live feeds with a bitrate up to 20Mbps and a minimal delay of 35 milliseconds. It supports video transmission up to 3 km (1.8 miles) and automatically switches frequency bands to avoid interference, ensuring reliable performance in complex environments.
DJI SDR Transmission supports three SDR signals and two Wi-Fi signals simultaneously. In broadcast mode, it connects to unlimited receivers for high-quality monitoring. It offers versatile connection options via SDI/HDMI for monitors and USB-C or Wi-Fi for mobile devices, enabling cost-effective, dual-channel monitoring without additional receivers.
Paired with DJI RS Series Stabilisers, the system supports remote camera functions, including Force Mobile, virtual joystick, and gimbal recentering. It allows adjustments to camera settings and control of photo and video recording through the app, and supports CEC control of Sony cameras for Mirror Control mode.
The system transmits metadata for seamless collaboration and is compatible with major cinema cameras like ARRI and RED via SDI. It integrates with the DJI Ronin app for easy camera index switching, enhancing workflow efficiency for directors and cinematographers.
Powered by standard PD protocol chargers via USB-C or directly by DJI RS stabilisers, the system also supports NP-F batteries for standalone use.
Weighing only 145 g (5.1 oz) per unit, the compact system features foldable antennas for easy transport and storage.
