The Nikkor Z 50mm f/1.4 lens, offers a versatile full-frame prime that’s perfect for photographers and videographers

Nikon has announced the addition of the NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.4 lens to its Z series lineup, designed to deliver sharpness, clarity, and vibrant colours in a range of lighting conditions.

With a wide f/1.4 aperture, the lens allows photographers to capture beautifully soft bokeh, freeze action in low light, and create vivid portraits or street shots.

The lightweight and portable lens, at just 420g, also features Nikon’s fast multi-focusing system, a short minimum focus distance of 0.37 m, and video-friendly features like focus breathing suppression.

Zurab Kiknadze, Nikon Europe’s Product Manager, highlights its versatility, calling it “a perfect all-round prime” for photographers and videographers alike.

Sales start in September 2024.
