With the Pro Tripod line Peak Design now offers a complete tripod ecosystem
Peak Design has unveiled its all-new Pro Tripod line – a professional-grade evolution of its award-winning Travel Tripod. Built for working photographers and filmmakers, the Pro Tripod delivers increased stiffness, taller height and a suite of precision-engineered upgrades designed to handle the most demanding shoots.
Available in three size variants – Pro, Pro Tall and Pro Lite – the new lineup caters to a broad range of needs. The standard Pro model strikes a balance between strength and portability, while the Pro Tall offers elongated legs for taller users or those seeking extra stability without extending the centre column. The more compact Pro Lite shaves down weight and bulk for those prioritising packability, yet still significantly outperforms the original Travel Tripod in strength and rigidity.
Every model in the Pro line features fully CNC-machined aluminium construction and refined levers, knobs, and touchpoints. For video shooters, the new Tilt Mod accessory converts the ball head into a fluid pan/tilt system for smooth, cinematic camera moves – ideal for hybrid content creators. The Pro Leveling Base further enhances flexibility, allowing fast levelling with your own pro video head, gimbal or 3-way head on uneven ground.
In addition to panning, the Pro Ball head supports 15 degrees of adjustment when Pro Tripod’s centre column is fully stowed and features a new Arca-compatible quick-lock for a satisfyingly secure, and effortless camera connection.
Behind Pro Tripod is an invaluable design partnership between Peak Design and renowned adventure-photographer and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker, Jimmy Chin. Chin’s desire to test countless Pro Tripod prototypes in the world’s harshest climates played an instrumental role in influencing each feature incorporated into the Pro Tripod.
Also launching are Pro Spike Feet and Pro Lite Spike Feet, providing superior grip and stability in rough or slippery terrain.
The Pro Lite is £700/ $800, Pro £800/ $900 and Pro Tall £900/ $1000. The tilt mod is £135/ $150, levelling base is £120/ $130 and spike feet set from £40/ $45. More info at peakdesign.com
