Samyang AF 14-24mm f/2.8
A new ultra-wide AF 14-24mm f/2.8 zoom lens for Sony full-frame E-mount cameras has been jointly developed by Korean lens brand LK Samyang and German optics specialist Schneider-Kreuznach.
The weatherproof lens blends precision engineering with modern manufacturing to deliver a lightweight yet robust tool for wide-angle specialists.
Weighing just 445g and measuring 88.8x84mm, the lens is remarkably compact for its class – ideal for handheld shooting, travel or gimbal-mounted work. It offers a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture, 15 elements in 11 groups and a close focusing distance of just 0.18m, enabling striking wide-angle close-ups. In a world first, the lens allows the use of front filters despite its 14mm field of view.

The interactive Cineflares lens flare library has now profiled 100 of the industry’s top lens families, making it the world’s largest online test library of professional cinema lenses. It compares flare characteristics across T stops in a controlled setting.

Sony Wireless Shooting Grip and Remote Commander
Sony has unveiled two new accessories to boost creativity and control: the GP-VPT3 wireless shooting grip and the RMT-VP2 remote commander.
The GP-VPT3 is a three-in-one solution that works as a grip, tripod and detachable remote, supporting cameras up to 1.5kg. It connects via Bluetooth, with no cables or receivers needed, while maintaining dust and moisture resistance when connected to the camera.
The detachable remote commander features dedicated Movie, Zoom/Focus and customisable buttons for wireless operation from up to 10m away.
