Canon has introduced two new cameras and a compact zoom lens, expanding its line-up of video-focused equipment designed for content creators

The launch includes the PowerShot V1 compact camera, the EOS R50 V mirrorless model and the RF-S 14-30mm F4-6.3 IS STM PZ lens.

Canon Powershot V1

The PowerShot V1 is a pocket-sized 4K camera aimed at vloggers and solo shooters. It features a built-in 16-50mm f/2.8-4.5 lens, a 1.4-inch sensor and Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system for autofocus tracking.

The model supports 4K/60p and Full HD/120p video, and includes image stabilisation, a vari-angle touchscreen, built-in microphone with noise reduction and connectivity options including Wi-Fi and USB.

Canon EOS R50 V

Also announced is the EOS R50 V, a 24MP APS-C mirrorless camera offering interchangeable lens capability and tools tailored for video production.

It supports 4K/60p and oversampled 4K/30p recording, along with features such as Canon Log 3, vertical aspect markers and multi-source audio support. The model includes a vari-angle LCD, front-facing recording button and direct livestreaming functionality via Canon’s mobile app.

Canon RF-S 14-30mm F4-6.3 IS STM PZ

Accompanying the cameras is the RF-S 14-30mm F4-6.3 IS STM PZ, Canon’s first RF lens with internal power zoom.

Designed for smooth focal length transitions, the lens includes image stabilisation, a quiet STM motor for autofocus and a non-extending design.

It is compatible with all EOS R system bodies and supports remote zoom control via smartphone or Bluetooth.
