Weighing under airline luggage limits, MRMC’s Cinebot Nano brings professional-grade robotic camera movement to shoots of any scale from £20K
Mark Roberts Motion Control has announced the Cinebot Nano – a compact, nine-axis motion control robot designed to make cinematic camera movement accessible to a wider range of creators.
Aimed at solo filmmakers, content creators, and agile production teams, the Cinebot Nano blends portability, affordability, and ease of use. The entire system fits into just three cases – an arm case, track case and control case – all within standard airline luggage limits. This makes it ideal for location work, small studio spaces and fast-paced shoots.
Despite its compact size, the Cinebot Nano supports a 7kg camera payload and offers a 1m reach. It can be mounted on tripods, suctioned to vehicles or suspended upside down, and integrates seamlessly with Tilta zoom and focus controls. On track, the robot can travel at 1m per second, delivering smooth, repeatable motion for applications from product videos and commercials to feature films and social content.
The Nano is powered by MRMC’s new Flair Lite software, a streamlined version of the company’s professional control system. Flair Lite offers an intuitive, entry-level interface with no subscription fees, enabling creators to design precise moves quickly. For rapid setups, the Cinebot Nano also supports Push Moco, allowing users to physically move the arm into position and keyframe shots in minutes.
Perhaps most striking is the price: packages start at £20,000, significantly lowering the barrier to entry for professional motion control.
