New Yashica FX-D 100, 300 and S300 combine analogue look and feel with the ease of digital

Yashica is embracing the past to meet the future with the launch of its new FX-D camera series: the FX-D 100, FX-D 300 and FX-D S300. Designed for creators who value the classic film aesthetic but want modern convenience, these compact digital cameras bring iconic styling, intuitive shooting and built-in film simulations to a generation raised on smartphones.

Each model features Yashica’s signature design, complete with a tactile film advance lever and six in-camera film looks including Ruby 60s and Mono 400, offering nostalgic tones without filters or editing.

The entry-level FX-D 100 sports a 13MP Sony sensor, 3x optical zoom and hybrid AF/manual control – ideal for vlogging, travel and casual shooting. It captures vibrant, retro-style images without fuss.

The FX-D 300 is built for detail-driven creators, with a 50MP sensor, wide-angle 24mm f/1.8 lens and digital crop modes for 35mm, 50mm and 60mm perspectives. Image stabilisation and strong low-light performance make it a strong all-rounder. Both models shoot 4K/ 30p video and HD in up to 120fps for slow motion.

For focused shooters, the FX-D S300 adds an electronic viewfinder and 3-axis stabilisation for quiet, immersive composition. It’s designed for storytelling with minimal distraction.

All models connect to the Yashica app for instant sharing, and prices start at £245. The FX-D 100 and 300 ship in September, with the S300 to follow in October.
