Profoto prioritises power and colour

Posted on Jun 5, 2025 by Adam Duckworth

Legendary lighting brand Profoto continues to expand in the cinema lighting market with three new powerful lights

Profoto has launched three new LED fixtures aimed at the cinema market: the LP2000C soft light panel and two point-source units, the L600C and L600D. Each delivers high power-to-weight performance and represents another step into high-end film production.

The LP2000C is the world’s brightest full-colour soft light panel, outputting 2000 watts from a compact 27kg body. Its Profoto Core LED engine ensures impeccable colour fidelity and soft, even illumination, while the proprietary CTech cooling system allows for single-operator rigging and maximum on-set efficiency.

The L600C is a 600W full-colour point-source LED designed for precise, high-performance filmmaking. Weighing just 6.1kg thanks to Profoto’s HydroCTech cooling system, it delivers industry-leading colour accuracy and compatibility with more than 55 Profoto modifiers. The all-in-one design also eliminates the need for external ballasts or cluttered cabling.

Completing the trio, the L600D is a daylight-balanced point-source LED offering 600W of output and market-leading electrical efficiency, converting 95% of energy into usable light. With HydroCTech cooling and a compact 5.9kg build, it’s ideal for fast-paced sets and demanding lighting scenarios. More details from Profoto.
