Reach further with Panasonic’s Lumix S 100-500mm Zoom

Posted on Sep 29, 2025 by Nicole Tilby

Panasonic expands its lineup with the Lumix S 100-500mm F5-7.1 OIS (S-R100500) interchangeable lens, designed for the L-Mount system standard

The Lumix S 100-500mm F5-7.1 OIS debuts as the series’ first ultra-telephoto zoom. With this addition, Panasonic expands the creative possibilities of the Lumix S lineup, with a reach up to 500mm – or up to 1000mm with teleconverters.

The Lumix S 100-500mm F5-7.1 OIS delivers high resolution and smooth bokeh across the zoom range. This zoom enables filmmakers to capture stunning images and footage in a wide variety of shooting scenarios including wildlife, motorsports and landscapes.

With an optimised lens element arrangement and Dual Phase Linear Motor, the lens achieves a compact design while delivering ultra-telephoto performance. This lens also features Dual Image Stabilisation, helping to reduce camera shake.

Built to complement its powerful zoom range, the intuitive control layout makes operation easier. The customisable focus ring doubles as a control ring for settings such as aperture, while the focus button can be assigned to preferred functions for a personalised shooting experience.

With this combination of features, the Lumix S 100-500mm F5-7.1 OIS sets a new benchmark for ultra-telephoto zoom lenses in the Lumix S Series.
