SIRUI IronStar 75, 100 and 135mm T1.9 1.5x anamorphic cine lenses

Posted on Jun 23, 2026 by Pro Moviemaker

Transcontinenta UK Ltd., distributor for SIRUI in the UK and Ireland have announced the expansion of the SIRUI IronStar anamorphic cine lens series with the introduction of the new 75mm, 100mm and 135mm T1.9 1.5x Full-Frame Anamorphic Cine Lenses.

These longer focal lengths broaden the acclaimed lineup of the IronStar 35, 45, and 60mm T1.9 1.5x Full-Frame Anamorphic Cine lenses. These new lenses offer professional filmmakers, cinematographers, production companies, and content creators greater creative flexibility, enhanced subject isolation, and a distinctive cinematic visual style.

Building on SIRUI’s growing reputation for delivering innovative and accessible cinema optics, the new IronStar telephoto lenses extend the series beyond its existing focal lengths. This provides filmmakers with powerful new creative options for portraiture, close-up detail, dramatic subject separation and compressed cinematic compositions.

Designed around a consistent 1.5x anamorphic squeeze factor, the new lenses produce the signature visual characteristics filmmakers expect from anamorphic optics, including oval bokeh, controlled horizontal flares, and an immersive widescreen aesthetic. The fast T1.9 aperture enables strong low-light performance while offering precise depth-of-field control for cinematic storytelling.

The IronStar series features a sophisticated optical design incorporating 19 precision optical elements, including aspherical and cylindrical lens elements that help maintain image sharpness while delivering a subtle vintage-inspired rendering. Full-frame sensor coverage ensures compatibility with today’s professional cinema cameras and hybrid production systems. For productions requiring maximum consistency, all three lenses share standardised cine-oriented construction, including a 95mm front diameter, 0.8 MOD gearing, and a 270-degree focus rotation for precise manual focusing. Interchangeable PL and EF mounts allow filmmakers to adapt the lenses across a wide range of camera platforms.

The new 100mm lens also introduces macro capability with an exceptionally close minimum focusing distance, allowing cinematographers to capture detailed close-up imagery while retaining the distinctive anamorphic look. Together, the 75mm, 100mm, and 135mm focal lengths provide filmmakers with enhanced flexibility for everything from commercial productions and documentaries to narrative films and high-end branded content.
