Westcott introduces the most portable V-Flat

V-Flats have been a studio staple for decades, but traditional foam boards are fragile, difficult to transport, and require frequent replacement. The Westcott V-Flat solves these challenges with a durable, travel-friendly design.
The Westcott V-Flat is a collapsible light control system built for photographers and filmmakers who need consistent results wherever they shoot. It features a lightweight aluminium frame, machine washable fabrics that won’t warp, chip, or dent, and magnetic support feet that pack into a compact carry case for effortless transport. Tool-free assembly takes less than five minutes. Black and white fabrics swap quickly so creators can adapt as their lighting needs change. Heavy-duty magnetic support feet with rubber bases keep the unit stable throughout the shoot.
“Photographers and filmmakers now have the ability to travel with full-size V-Flats,” says Brandon Heiss, president of Westcott. “We designed the Westcott V-Flat to give creators the light control they expect without the headaches that come with foam core. It travels easily, sets up fast, and holds up shoot after shoot.”
Two 41″ x 84″ (104 x 213 cm) sides open to 82″ x 84″ (208 x 213 cm) to deliver full-length coverage on set. The frame adjusts from 15 to 180 degrees for precise angle control. Creators can bounce soft fill, add negative fill for dramatic contrast, flag stray light, block windows, build book light setups, or use the system as a freestanding backdrop or wedge wall. When the session ends, the V-Flat collapses neatly into a slim 45″ x 9″ x 6″ (114 x 23 x 16 cm) carry case.
The Westcott V-Flat is available in a variety of configurations. Customers can choose from single-frame options with black or white fabrics, a two-pack kit, or individual fabrics.
