Nikon Coolpix P1100
Nikon’s compact Coolpix P1100 builds on the legacy of its legendary predecessor, the P1000, but offers a 125x optical zoom – the equivalent of a 24-3000mm focal length range. A digital zoom pushes the range to a staggering 250x – 6000mm equivalent.
It supports 4K/30p video recording, as well as superlapse and time-lapse movie options. Optical vibration reduction provides stabilisation equivalent to four stops.
It weighs just 1410g with its built-in lens, a 3.2-inch TFT LCD vari-angle monitor for a wide viewing angle and clean HDMI output to an external monitor during recording.
Sennheiser MKH 8018
Sennheiser’s newest compact stereo shotgun microphone is the MKH 8018, ideal for filming and broadcasting. The high-class shotgun mic completes the company’s MKH 8000 range of RF condenser microphones.
The MKH 8000 series mics excel due to their climate-proof ruggedness and natural sound capture with virtually no off-axis colouration.
The MKH 8018 has three switchable stereo modes for recording: MS stereo, wide XY stereo and narrow XY stereo.
The microphone is non-modular, with a fixed XLR-5M output and integrated -10dB pad against overdriving, filters for tailoring the frequency response, as well as an additional switchable -3dB low-pass filter at 70Hz.
Sandisk Extreme Pro USB-C
