Samyang zooms in with AF 24-60mm F2.8

Samyang and Schneider-Kreuznach introduce the AF 24-60mm F2.8 FE, a compact standard zoom that delivers consistent F2.8 performance for creators

LK Samyang has announced their latest innovation, the AF 24-60mm F2.8 FE. Developed in collaboration with Germany company Schneider-Kreuznach, the lens underscores LK Samyang’s fifth appearance at IBC – reinforcing the brand’s dedication to advancing optical solutions for creators worldwide.

Earlier this year, the two companies introduced the AF 14-24mm F2.8 FE, the world’s first front-filter-compatible super-wide zoom lens for Sony E-mount. Building on that success, the new AF 24-60mm F2.8 FE expands the lineup into the standard zoom range, delivering uncompromised image quality in a compact, lightweight design optimised for both photography and video production.

The AF 24-60mm F2.8 FE offers a constant F2.8 aperture for strong low-light performance and depth of field control, while its compact build helps to make this lens portable. Built with creators in mind, it also adapts to photography, video, vlogging and wider content production.

Commenting on the launch, Craig Harrison, senior product manager at Holdan, said: “I’m really excited to see the launch of the AF 24-60mm F2.8 FE, the second lens to come from Samyang’s collaboration with Schneider-Kreuznach. This new zoom is a great example of Samyang’s ability to combine exceptional image quality with a design that is extremely compact, lightweight and great value.”

This latest release adds more versatility to the partnership’s lens range, giving photographers and creators another flexible tool to work with.
