Smallest and lightest zoom lens for Fujifilm X-mount

Posted on Oct 27, 2025 by Adam Duckworth

Fujifilm’s smallest and lightest zoom lens combines wide-angle versatility, image stabilisation and sharp optics in a compact 125g design

Fujifilm’s new XC13–33mm f/3.5-6.3 OIS is the most compact and lightweight zoom lens in its lineup for X Series mirrorless cameras. Weighing just 125g and measuring 37.5mm in length, this new lens offers a balance of portability, image quality and versatility.

Covering a 20–50mm equivalent focal range, the £329 XC13-33mm is designed to handle everything from expansive landscapes and interiors to natural portraits and street photography. Its optical construction comprises 10 elements in 9 groups, including four aspherical and three ED lenses, effectively minimising distortion, field curvature and chromatic aberration across the zoom range.

A minimum focusing distance of 20cm and 0.25x magnification make it ideal for close-ups, while a 4-stop Optical Image Stabilisation system ensures sharp handheld results even in low light. Autofocus speed clocks in at a rapid 0.025 seconds, powered by a responsive internal focusing system, making it perfect for capturing fleeting moments with precision.

The 9-blade aperture produces smooth, rounded bokeh for pleasing background separation, enhancing portraits and creative compositions.
