The Sony GP-VPT3 Wireless Shooting Grip and RMT-VP2 Remote Commander are ideal for  photographers and content creators

Sony has unveiled two new accessories designed to boost creativity and control for photographers and content creators: the GP-VPT3 Wireless Shooting Grip and RMT-VP2 Remote Commander.

The GP-VPT3 is a 3-in-1 solution that functions as a grip, tripod, and detachable remote commander. Lightweight and ergonomically designed, it supports cameras up to 1.5kg and is compatible with Sony’s mirrorless and Vlogging camera. Built-in Bluetooth connectivity eliminates the need for cables or receivers, while maintaining dust and moisture resistance when connected to the camera.

Ideal for solo shooting and vlogging, the grip enables one-handed control of key camera functions including zoom and focus. A tilting head allows for flexible angle adjustment, and a quick-swap mechanism makes it easy to switch between self-portrait and standard shooting modes.

The detachable remote commander features dedicated Movie, Zoom/Focus and customisable buttons for wireless operation from up to 10 meters away. Perfect for group shots or reducing shake during long exposures, it works with Sony cameras and Xperia smartphones.

The RMT-VP2 remote commander is also available separately, offering the same wireless control and functionality on its own or in tandem with the grip. The GP-VPT3 will be available from June 2025 for £120, with the RMT-VP2 at £75. For more information, visit Sony.com.
