Xencelabs Pen Display 24+ delivers colour accuracy

Posted on Aug 15, 2025 by Adam Duckworth

With Calman Ready technology on board, the Xencelabs Pen Display 24+ offers Hollywood-grade colour accuracy straight from the screen

Xencelabs has unveiled the Pen Display 24+, the first pen display to feature built-in Calman Ready colour management, enabling hardware-level calibration for unmatched colour accuracy. Developed in collaboration with Portrait Displays, the system stores calibration data directly on the device, ensuring consistent, true-to-life colour across workflows – ideal for photography, film, animation, design and other colour-critical industries.

The 23.8-inch 4K UHD display offers 99% Adobe RGB, 93% DCI-P3 and 99% sRGB coverage, plus Pantone-validated and SkinTone-certified colour. The Super AG Etching glass surface mimics paper texture while reducing glare, and the finely tuned pressure curve (8,192 levels) captures strokes from the lightest touches to bold lines. Two pens are included – the 3 Button Pen + Eraser v2 and Thin Pen + Eraser v2 – alongside Felt and Standard nibs.

Productivity features include the Quick Keys Remote with up to 44 application-specific shortcuts, Virtual Tablet Mode for multi-display control and a silent, fanless design. Ergonomic options range from the included tilt stand (16°–72°) to an optional multi-axis stand with rotation and off-the-desk positioning.

Each Pen Display 24+ ships with a full accessory kit and security lock slots. Priced at $1899, no UK price has been revealed. The Calman license must be purchased in addition to the PD24+.
