NiSi adds Allure filters to F3 Cine lenses
NiSi have announced a new range of high-end optical glass filters to use on their recently released F3 cinema lenses. You can choose between the Allure Mist Black filter which reduces highlights and contrast to soften wrinkles and blemishes, or the Allure Mist White filter which reduces overall flare and contrast to create a mist effect. Both filters are available in either 4×5.65-inch or 6.6×6.6-inch sizes. They come in strengths of 1-stop, 1⁄2-stop, 1⁄4-stop or 1⁄8-stop. The Allure Mist filters cost $319 for the smaller size and $429 for the larger. They’re designed to accompany the five focal lengths of the F3 series; 25mm T2.1, 35mm T2.0, 50mm T2.0, 75mm T2.0 and 100mm T2.0. The prime lenses have interchangeable PL, Canon EF and Sony E mounts and they can also be used with full frame cameras such as the ARRI Alexa LR and the Red Monstro 8K VV. Prices for the lenses themselves start at $2,499 and rise up to $11,999 for a complete set. NiSi also announced they’ll add 18mm and 135mm prime lenses to the F3 series in the second half of 2018.
