The CVP Creator Hub supports the next gen of hybrid creatives

For almost 40 years, CVP has been a trusted partner to the world’s most discerning filmmakers and broadcast professionals – those working with high-end systems like the Arri Alexa, Red DSMC3 or Sony Venice, where technical precision, insight and service are paramount. That legacy remains a vital part of CVP’s business.

But CVP has always spoken the language of content creators – supporting them with knowledge, access and advice at every stage of their journey.

Now, that relationship takes a bold step forward with the introduction of a dedicated space created specifically for them: a place to explore, get hands-on with gear and be inspired. It’s the latest addition to CVP’s growing portfolio of showrooms – and a clear signal of our commitment to today’s generation of creative storytellers.

Welcome to the CVP Creator Hub – a curated, hands-on experience at Charlotte Street in London, designed with the needs of today’s fast-evolving creative community in mind. Whether you’re a documentary filmmaker with a nimble mirrorless kit, a self-shooting director building a podcast empire or a YouTuber creating engaging content, this space offers the tools, expertise and inspiration to level up your craft.

At the heart of the Creator Hub is Stuart Dennis, a well-known advocate for hybrid shooters and emerging creators. With years of experience bridging the worlds of broadcast, videography and content creation, Dennis understands the need for a space that reflects the way modern creatives actually work.

“If you’re just starting out with a Sony A7S III or Canon R5 C and a modest budget, walking into a showroom filled with £60K cinema rigs can feel really daunting – it’s like looking to buy your first car and walking straight into a Ferrari dealership,” says Dennis.

“The Creator Hub is changing that – it’s welcoming, practical and built for people who take storytelling seriously, no matter the scale.”

From mirrorless to multicam

This is a space designed to demystify kit and encourage exploration, showcasing a broad spectrum of equipment from leading manufacturers like Sony, Nikon, Canon, Panasonic, Fujifilm and Blackmagic. Expect to see the likes of the Sony FX30, Panasonic S5 II X, Canon R6 Mk II, Nikon Z 8 and Z 6 III – all selected for their imaging potential, compact form factors and strong price-performance ratio.

Hybrid lenses will be featured alongside compact, affordable cine glass from brands like Sirui, Thypoch, Nisi and Blazar – all options that are redefining what’s possible for emerging filmmakers who are on realistic budgets.

Of course, it’s not just about the cameras and lenses. Lighting, sound and monitoring solutions are equally represented, with curated rigs and pre configured kits that show just how easily everything works together – exactly the kind of joined-up thinking today’s solo creatives rely on.

More than a showroom

The Creator Hub isn’t just a retail environment – it’s an experiential studio space as well. Visitors can try out podcasting set-ups, build out YouTube rigs or test a vlogging camera. It’s all presented in real-world environments, with familiar backdrops that help creators visualise and replicate pro-quality content at home.

“The goal is for creators to walk in and instantly relate to the set-ups,” says Dennis. “We want them to think: ‘That’s exactly how I want my kit to look and feel like when I use it.’ ”

Knowledgeable staff and technical consultants are always on hand too – ready to help, never to intimidate. The aim is to build confidence, remove guesswork and make the creative process smoother from the outset.

Community at its core

Beneath the Charlotte Street showroom lies a dynamic, multi-use event space. This underground studio will host workshops, product launches, networking sessions and masterclasses – all serving to connect creators with peers, professionals and industry mentors alike.

Whether you’re just getting started or thinking about scaling up your production, this is a hub for the community as much as the kit. “We want to foster a real sense of connection,” Dennis explains. “This isn’t just about gear – it’s about nurturing ideas, people and collaborating to make things happen.”

A strategic shift, a natural evolution

While CVP continues to house an extensive collection of all the latest production solutions, including state-of-the-art lighting and virtual production sets, multiple fully rigged cine and broadcast cameras from its Great Titchfield Street showroom, the Creator Hub signals a strategic and cultural evolution.

The Hub recognises the diversity of today’s content landscape and the growing influence of creators who don’t necessarily need large crews or big budgets to tell powerful stories.

“No one else in the UK is offering this breadth of choice, technical knowledge and personalised support under one roof,” Dennis says. “We’re embracing the full scope of the creative industries – from the high-end DOP to the emerging creator – with equal respect.”

Whether you’re building your first kit or upgrading your fifth, CVP’s Creator Hub invites you to try, test and connect – on your own terms.

CVP goes on the road

CVP is one of the leading independent resellers of filmmaking equipment globally, with a comprehensive sales and support infrastructure in the UK and across Europe, as well as close relationships with key manufacturers such as Arri, Blackmagic, Canon, Red and Sony. You don’t have to go to one of its locations to experience its unrivalled technical and real-world expertise as CVP is present at many major shows.

The Olympia Grand Hall in London is hosting MPTS on 14-15 May, with CVP on stand H40 showcasing lots of the latest equipment to get hands-on with. It will also be hosting two seminars during the event, sharing industry expertise alongside trusted brands. On 21-22 May, CVP will take its hardware and experts to The Podcast Show at London’s Business Design Centre in Islington. For the best cameras, lenses, mics and more, it’s the place to be to perfect your podcasting.
